What I do with your data
This notice explains what personal data I collect through this site, what I use it for, and how you can control it. It is written in accordance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
It covers only the contact that happens before you become my patient: this site, WhatsApp, phone and email. When you come in for a consultation you will sign a broader notice covering your full medical record.
Who is responsible for your data
The party responsible for processing your personal data is Dr. Miguel Corres Molina, gynecologic oncologist, domiciled at Frontera 74, Suite 720-3, Col. Roma, Mexico City, pursuant to Article 17, section II of Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
Consultations take place at Centro Médico ABC Observatorio Campus, Torre Donald Mackenzie, Floor 2, Suite 219.
I am personally accountable for how that information is used. It is not administered by an agency or any third party.
What data I collect, and when
This site has no forms. There are no fields to fill in, no sign-up, and nothing is asked of you in order to read it. I only collect data when you choose to contact me.
If you write to me on WhatsApp, call me or send me an email, I receive what you send: usually your name, your phone or email, and the reason for your consultation. Nothing else.
Sensitive data
Data about your health is sensitive personal data and the law affords it special protection. If your first message describes a diagnosis, includes imaging, or shares pathology reports, you are sharing sensitive data.
I use it solely to evaluate your case and prepare your consultation. I do not share it, publish it, or use it as an example without your express written authorization.
If you would rather not send clinical information over WhatsApp, you can write only to schedule and bring your studies with you to the appointment. That is equally valid.
What I use your data for
Necessary purposes, without which I cannot treat you: answering your message, scheduling your consultation, reviewing your studies before the appointment, and providing clinical follow-up if you become my patient.
Non-necessary purposes: none. I do not send promotions, I do not add you to any newsletter, and I do not use your data for advertising. If that were to change, I would ask you first and separately.
Who I share it with
I do not sell or rent your data. Ever.
I share it only when your own care requires it: with the hospital where I treat you, for your admission or surgery; with the laboratory or pathologist processing your studies; with the other physicians on your treating team; and with your insurer, only if you ask me to for your medical-expenses claim.
Any such transfer carries only the information necessary for that specific purpose, never your complete record.
I would also disclose data if legally required by a competent authority. In no other case.
This site does not track you
This is worth stating plainly because it is uncommon: this site uses no first-party cookies, does not profile you, and installs no advertising trackers.
There are two third-party elements you should know about: the office map is provided by Google Maps, and the WhatsApp and phone buttons hand you off to those applications. Google and WhatsApp apply their own privacy policies, which I do not control.
Your rights over your data
At any time you may ask me to give you access to the data I hold about you, rectify it if it is wrong, cancel it when it is no longer necessary, or record your objection to a specific use. Mexican law calls these ARCO rights.
To exercise them, write to doctor.corres@gmail.com with your full name, date of birth, address, valid identification, and a clear description of which data and which right you wish to exercise. I respond within a maximum of twenty business days.
If someone else submits the request on your behalf, I need the document evidencing that representation together with identification for both of you.
Note one legal limit: your medical record must be retained for the period set by health regulations, so there is information I cannot delete even at your request. I will tell you clearly if that applies to you.
How to withdraw your consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the same email address. From that moment I stop using your data, except for the medical record, which health regulations oblige me to retain for a set period.
Changes to this notice
If I modify this notice, I will publish the new version on this same page with its update date. If the change is substantive and affects how I use your data, I will let you know through the channel you used to contact me.
If any of this is unclear, ask me. I would rather explain it than have you agree to something you do not understand.
