Specialized Second Opinion

An independent review of a diagnosis or of a surgical plan already proposed, so you can decide with complete information.

01 · Why it matters

Asking for a second opinion is not distrusting your doctor: it is a normal and advisable step in oncology, where stage, surgical technique and the order of treatments change the outcome. Many insurers even request one.

02 · How the consultation works

I review your studies and reports before the appointment. During the consultation I explain what I see, whether or not I agree with the proposed plan, and why. You receive the assessment in writing.

03 · What I need from you

Pathology and biopsy reports, imaging with its interpretation, a clinical summary or medical notes, and the plan that has already been proposed to you.

04 · No commitment to treatment

A second opinion does not mean changing doctors. If the proposed plan is the right one, I will tell you so.

Does your case belong here?

Write to me with your studies at hand and we will review them before the appointment.
